Mount Crumpit News and Updates

Halloween is near, and that means only one thing. The very next day, Christmas is in the air. Thats right. Thanksgiving takes the back seat until roughly a week before its big day, while the idea of Christmas will undoubtedly be drilled into our heads, whether it be TV shows, commercials or the merry music piped into every retail store you'll walk into. All that aside, its a very enlightening time of year. And in keeping that in mind, many measures were taken today to bring the site up to date a little bit.

For starters, much of the dead media was removed. Videos provided by YouTube.com have been updated so as to assure their availability. Multimedia faced perhaps one of the biggest face-lifts thus far, finally being separated between styles. You can now choose to view Photos or Videos & Wallpapers individually, which helps a lot in ease-of-use. Who really wants to scroll through a page a mile long to look at every time of media we have archived?

Also, Movie Showings has a few nice additions. While we haven't worked out any sort of schedule, we have posted several important dates regarding Holiday Movie releases in both Theaters and on DVD this season. Be sure to check it out.

My own personal review page has been updated a little bit. A week or so ago, I added a "Recently Added/Coming Soon" section. Because we aren't reviewing films yet, Andy and I are beginning to pick and choose which films we plan to review. I have added a couple under the aforementioned heading as sort of a "first look". I believe four have been pre-selected. However, you can expect a few more than that.

One review axed from the Review list is the box-set collection of Televisions Christmas Classics. It was featured in the review section last year, and at one point landed itself on my "Coming Soon" list. However, I have since replaced it with Surviving Christmas. I also plan to review the last two installments in the Santa Clause series.

Speaking of Surviving Christmas, it has officially been added to the Mount Crumpit library along side the new-to-DVD release, House Without A Christmas Tree
