Chad's Movie Reviews, Tree Tagging & more
November 1, 2008 @ 1:30 pm | Posted by Chad

As much as I enjoy Halloween and all the fall festivities associated with it, I reach a certain point when I just cant wait for it to pass. Once the Ghosts and Pumpkins are tucked away, we begin my favorite time of the entire year: the Holidays. November and December are a very important time for me. Ive always been fond of Thanksgiving and Christmas, and have taken a lot of steps over the years to make each one better than the year before.

I enjoy buying new holiday movies and reviewing them for Mount Crumpit. Over the past three years, Ive been able to watch a lot of new and new-to-me movies that can kickstart anyones holiday spirit. Ive already been planning on which movies I will review this season, and Ive waited until now to announce them.

Chad's 2008 Season reviews:
-The Polar Express (in 3-D)
-Fred Claus
-The Santa Clause 2
-The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
-The Original Television Christmas Classics (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer/Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town/Frosty the Snowman/Frosty Returns/The Little Drummer Boy
-Classic Christmas Favorites (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! / The Year Without a Santa Claus / Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July / Rudolph's Shiny New Year / and More)
-Muppet Family Christmas
-The Christmas Toy
-A Charlie Brown Christmas
-A Garfield Christmas

Some might notice that there are several repeats that I annouced for 2007, some of which were not reviewed. Throughout the 2007 holiday season, I came across movies I hadnt anticipated, and reviewed them instead. This year, I have made the decision to follow the list, and review a minimum of one movie/selection per week, to be posted every friday. This is ironclad.

-Today is also the day that my wife and I, along with Autumn Effect commentator Jon Bidwell and family, browse the Christmas Tree selection at Whitetail Acres Christmas Tree Farm. Many of you know that Whitetail Acres is owned and operated by Andy Bidwell and family, and offer a terrific selection of trees, wreathes and apparel for the winter season.

-The October 19th post, indicating that there might be a Holiday Stop-Motion video, is still quite true. Ideas are being worked over, and you can expect an announcement any day now.
