News/Updates: Movies Reviewed in 2007 (Updated)
October 16, 2007 @ 5:50 pm | Posted by Chad

We understand it's still early yet, but we've begun composing the list of films to be reviewed in 2007. At this time, Andy's selection is not available, however, once he has decided which films he will critique, we will make the appropriate announcement.

So far, I've been browsing the internet to find lists of classic Christmas films. I've come across so many, that I doubt I'd be able to review all of them this year, due to the fact that the site is really only maintained throughout November and December (excluding the month of October, which is used for updating and re-working). However, I plan to do as much as I can to keep my Christmas DVD collection expanding. I hope to review several of the following films: The Polar Express, Miracle On 34th Street, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Surviving Christmas, Santa Clause 2, Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, Deck the Halls, Muppet Family Christmas, Television's Christmas Classics, The Ref and The Muppet Christmas Carol.

There is one review I'm particularly looking forward to. This year, Ron Howard's How the Grinch Stole Christmas film marks its seventh year anniversary. November 17th, 2000 saw it's debut in theaters, while it was released on DVD November 20, 2001. I will be writing a specialty review titled "Grinch: Seven Years", where I will be talking about the films lasting effects since the very first times I saw it, as well as my thoughts of how it's portrayed and just how it ranks with other classics in the Mount Crumpit archives. Be looking for that in Early November.

You might remember seeing The Polar Express advertised for review last year. Im aware that it went un-reviewed, and it's truly a shame. Nonetheless, its a top priority this season. Among the others, I would be lying if I told you they would all be done. They wont. But I can assure you that I will get as much accomplished as possible. Whenever a new review is posted, you will be notified on the Home page.
